Microsoft Office 2010
Category: Supported Office versions
Microsoft Office 2010 - version of the Microsoft Office suite, prepared as a successor to Microsoft Office 2007.

The new version of Microsoft Office includes both cosmetic and typically internal changes. The most important changes include further interface modifications. The elements of the ribbon known from the previous version of the package were refreshed. Now it looks exactly the same as the one from Paint or WordPad from Windows 7. The modern interface, which previously could only be used in Word, Excel, Access and some parts of Outlook, is now available in all applications. It is the first Microsoft Office package available also in 64-bit version.

The available range of text formatting in the Word editor has been significantly expanded. The new version allows you to fill, outline and highlight letters with multiple effect styles of any color. You can also add a mirror image underneath the text, a colored glow or one of many three-dimensional font effects. This replaces WordArt. These effects are also available in the new version of the PowerPoint presentation creation program.

Other new features include support for extended file format; co-authoring features that allow multiple users to share and edit documents simultaneously; Integration with OneDrive and SharePoint; and security improvements such as protected view, isolated read-only environment to protect users from potentially malicious content. Office Online debuted as a collection of free online versions of Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint and Word.
